the timbers arrive!

...and lots of snow too! We have at least 2 feet of snow out there (I think) and more on the way. It seems amazing to me that anyone can build a house in this weather, but when I think of how much better *I* feel when I spend time outside in the winter I understand the motivation. Luna and I drove out there today in Wanda (thank the goddess for Wanda) and surveyed it all. They have been cutting the posts (or the beams - how do you tell which is which?) and they are burning the extra wood in a little stove. Probably for warmth but when we got out there today, it was going and it looked like someone was home. Richard (our builder) called tonight to say that they'll be working tomorrow so we'll no doubt head over and see what it's all about. With wanda around, Luna and I can head up as often as we like and make this thing as real as it could be. We'll choose the roof color tomorrow - I will post it when it's a done deal.

Pictures to come as well - I have to charge the camera battery first.

dreaming peace,
Em
