let's see - where were we

This the first little glimpse of out sweet home as you come up the road. (tee-hee)

Here is our furnace - whoomp! She's making it all happen and the floor is toasty warm. I am *so* excited about my heated slab for next winter! Ahhhhhh warm floors......

It has been a little slower for a few weeks just like Richard said it would be. Ceiling is going in downstairs and the electrician will be out this week or next to put in the wires :-) everything feels like there should be a (tee-hee!) at the end of it. I just can't believe that we might really be in by June 1st!

It seems that most times we hike out to the pond, the woodpecker is there talking to me. Here is a tree I think she has found tasty :)

our bedroom window - the only one with the protective plastic off of it so you can really see through. pretty sweet view :)

The winding staircase - it functions as a divider making a little bit cozier of a living area.

Stairs will be closed underneath for our boot and coat closets and open above with railing for air and light and to maxamize the "ahhhhhhhh" factor :)

This is our bathroom window - there will be a wall in there somewhere and Luna's room is on the other side.

sunny, roofy, joy!

We're grateful for the sunshine! The sky is bright blue and it's muddy as ever, but the subaru can still make it (and probably wanda as well) so we're still going strong. Major decisions in the making and already made. Moved the fridge location (again) figuring out the stairs. It's all part of this amzing journey we're on and as long as we remember that - everything has been working out ok (*great* even).

It's easy to feel good on a day like today so I am going outside :) cheers!

feeling closer and closer (to inner joy)

We have all the doors and windows in (well almost all the windows). We're going to add one more to the stairwell. We've been in meetings and planning to revise the inside layout a bit. *Just* a little tweaking to get as much out of our space as we possibly can. Some very exciting new ideas to make the space so sweet and fun - little lofty feeling office - open stairwell - bigger mudroom - closets under stairs. It's all just too much to really comprehend. (tee hee!)

I've been spending a lot of time out at the land skiing at night around our field or just standing inside trying to envision what it's all going to look like. I am grateful every day for all the experiences and challenges and opportunities for growth that have come out of this project.

Ahhhhhh..... heart opening! :)

picture update :)

Luna and I went out on Friday for picnic ski around the pond. The only difference from this end now is that the window next to the door is a little bit longer. This is the North and East sides of the house taken on the way back from our adventure.

These are old Heron nests. It used to be a nesting ground, but not so much anymore. Still quite amazing to be out there with them.

Good to have a snack. We're actually ON the pond here .... ice fishing anyone?
